theproblem
Starvation is a grim reality for children around the world. Starvation not only takes lives but is also the culprit for disease, depression, suicide, desperation which leads to crime, loss of energy, along with a wide range of health problems. The problem is increasing and taking more lives than ever before.

ourresponse
We have two responses to this crisis; immediate and long-term. Our immediate response to combat hungry children going day to day with no food is the Matthew 25 Emergency Food Relief Program. The long term Response is our Matthew 25 Blessing Gardens.  Both concepts meet urgent needs without neglecting a sustainable solution to the growing crisis.

Matthew 25 Emergency Food Relief Truck

When it’s possible, depending on resources and location, our goal is to purchase food trucks to serve the street kids and the homeless. Our relief trucks are a way that we can fight against starvation by feeding the most destitute children, elderly, and homeless people with hot meals and nutritional food relief kits. The emergency relief truck makes it possible to travel village to village, city to city, and reach the needs where they are. Because of terrain, costs, and logistics, an actual truck is not always possible or the best way to serve. Sometimes we deliver food relief in boxes to impoverished families, sometimes we set up a food distribution center in the middle of a city to reach the homeless, sometimes we build Matthew 25 Feeding Kitchens in remote villages where the children and poor come for food, we work to serve in whatever way meets the most critical needs in the best possible way.

Here’s how we get the job done.

1. We identify those with the greatest needs.

2. We enroll them in to our Matthew 25 Sponsorship Program. Children, elderly, and the homeless receive nutritious meals that sustain life.

3.Our team works with those in the program to provide counseling, educational opportunities and continual spiritual mentorship – bringing hope, love, and guidance.

longtermresponseblessinggardensMatthew 25 Blessing Gardens
The Matthew 25 Emergency Food Relief Trucks take care of immediate needs. However, we need a long-term solution in addition to filling hungry bellies.  Our solution to end the cycle of hunger and malnutrition is Matthew 25 Community Blessing Gardens.

These “Blessing Gardens” provide long-term relief for those suffering in great poverty which leads to malnutrition and starvation. Blessing Gardens align with the old proverb, “Give a man to fish and feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and feed him for a lifetime.” Engaging impoverished communities restores pride, hope, and hard work. Most people living in abject poverty aren’t looking for a hand out and are willing to work and make life better for themselves and their families. Blessing Gardens are the hand up they need!

Here’s how it works:

Slide1
We identify a community with
the greatest hunger needs.

Slide2
We secure a parcel of
land with good soil.

Slide3
The community helps prepare the
land and plant a non-hybrid garden.

Slide4
We teach organic farming and oversee
its continued success.  However, the
community is responsible for its continued
work and care

Slide5
We provide livestock for meat, eggs and
milk.  We teach how to properly and
humanely care for the animals

Slide6
The community meets its own needs
by feeding their children, elderly
and handicapped individuals.
